Compulsively readable! I was charmed by the flirtatious banter . . . Sometimes you want to Netflix and Chill and sometimes you want to Netflix and like, seriously, just chill. Clare and Logan excelled at both!
Alicia Thompson

Synopsis

Logan Walsh doesn't do relationships.

Clare Thompson doesn't do casual.

What could possibly bring them together?

Finance bro Logan and tabletop game designer Clare couldn't be more different. They know this because their apartments face each other, and they've noticed. But not, you know, in a creepy way.

Still, when they get stuck in the elevator together, sparks fly and they each see an opportunity: Clare needs her co-workers to believe that she is capable of a one-night stand to get them to buy into her new role-play character, and Logan needs a steady girlfriend to prove his maturity to his boss.

After one night together, they're keen to get on with their respective plans. Except Clare can't understand why her hook-up seems to want to date her, and Logan is confused that Clare isn't responding to his flirting.

A kiss in the rain might clear up any confusion over their chemistry, but this whole 'relationship' thing is a two-player game, and both want to win. With their hearts and their pride on the line, could the prize be love?

Reviews

I loved this! The chemistry between Logan and Clare had me hooked, and I will admit that even as a reader I fell for Logan’s charm. I loved the interaction between Clare, Logan and the side characters. This was an easy read, and just what I needed. This book had cute lines, all the feels and just enough drama. 100% recommend.
Goodreads reviewer - E
I had no expectations for this book but I absolutely loved it! I was a bit worried at first when the characters didn't tell their bosses to go to hell, and the premise had potential for misogyny/judginess about promiscuity/not-like-other-girls nonsense ... but this book just kept surprising me with its depth and compassion for the characters. I was also a little disappointed that their first sexual encounter wasn't on page, but as the book progressed I increasingly respected and appreciated that choice. The slow burn worked really well. I felt like the author really understood both characters and did them each justice. This book just had a really good tone. I loved it!
